Musante will be providing two seminars in one day. You can take both or either one individually. Robert Musante is the nation’s foremost teacher of deposition cross-examination. Author of eight nationally acclaimed seminars, he has taught the logic essential to taking great adverse depositions – of fact witnesses and experts – to more than 45,000 litigators in 42 states. He has made in-house presentations to the attorney generals of 11 states and to the partners and associates of 90+ litigation law firms.

Here is the synopsis of the two seminars:

Morning Session:

Great Adverse Depositions: Principle & Principal Techniques
High-quality adverse depositions require the conscious and conscientious application of an integrated set of logical cross-examination rules.  This seminar wastes no time on entry-level wisdom, code chatter, idiosyncratic war stories, or tired maxims.  Instead, using video clips from high-profile cases, it brilliantly teaches how to take adverse depositions as never before … the one right, logical way: as an intellectually rigorous discipline.

Afternoon Session:

Attacking the Liar’s “I don’t remember”
To every adverse witness, the answers that represent the Scylla and Charybdis of cross-examination – the risk-laden answers that the adverse witness must dodge whenever possible – are the damning admission and the vulnerable-to-impeachment denial. To accomplish that dodge, the adverse witness, perhaps at the unethical urging and design of his attorney, frequently employs the stratagem of responding to cross-examiner’s “yes/ no” questions with a dishonest “I don’t remember” … the toughest answer to successfully attack. There is not another CLE presentation in the country like this one.
