For a functioning democracy, we need citizen involvement in the legislative process. In Arizona we have the opportunity to advocate our positions on bills that are voted on by the Assembly. This process can be frustrating and confusing. Join ASU Law CLE and Maureen P. Kane as we teach you the ins and outs of legislative Advocacy in Arizona. This 1 unit CLE lunch and learn will teach you about the bills that are currently being debated in the Assembly and how to effectively advocate your position.

The donations from CLE will  benefit the Kevin M. Kane – ASU Alumni Association Book Scholarship.

Maureen P. Kane has worked as an attorney in all branches of Arizona government as well as in private practice. She has served as a staff attorney in the Arizona House of Representatives, an assistant attorney general in the Solicitor General’s office, a judicial law clerk for three distinguished Court of Appeals judges, and an attorney in private practice handling appeals, personal injury claims, and employment-related lawsuits. Ms. Kane also has taught legal research and writing and continues to serve as a legal writing coach for lawyers and law students.
